Eastern Forms Joint Venture With Dorman To Develop and Market Integrated Manifold Converters

Langhorne, PA... Eastern Manufacturing, Inc. (“Eastern Catalytic”), a world-class manufacturer of catalytic converters and related emission control components, has just entered into a partnership with Dorman Products Inc. to develop, manufacture, and distribute an integrated exhaust manifold and converter product line. Dorman Products, Inc. (Colmar, PA) is a leading supplier of OE automotive replacement parts, automotive hardware, brake products, and household hardware to the automotive aftermarket and mass merchandisers.

Under the terms of the joint venture agreement, Eastern and Dorman will mutually develop and market an industry-leading line of integrated exhaust manifold/catalytic converters for the traditional, retail, and export automotive channels. In addition, the arrangement will also enable Dorman to offer Eastern’s full line of direct-fit catalytic converters to the US and Canadian automotive aftermarket.

The announcement was made by George Schafer, President of Eastern Manufacturing, who noted, “This new partnership with Dorman will help us to further expand our business and increase sales. We will be able to combine our exceptional manufacturing capabilities with Dorman’s formidable distribution system to bring important new catalytic converter products to market.”

Dorman products are marketed under the OE Solutions™, HELP!®, AutoGrade™, First Stop™, ConductTite®, Symmetry®, and Scan-Tech® brand names.
