The fuel, engine, and exhaust systems

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors sensors in the fuel, engine, and exhaust systems. Each of these system components can effect the performance of the emissions system, and the failure of any of these components can cause damage to the catalytic converter.

When converter DTCs are not caused by the typical problems listed on the previous page, any or all of these components may need to be checked.
