Langhorne, PA… Eastern Catalytic, a world-class manufacturer of catalytic converters and related emission control components, has launched a new series of three-way catalytic converters (TWC), which have received a California Air Resources Board (CARB) exemption for use as aftermarket replacements on some Ultra Low Emission Vehicles (ULEV).
Eastern is the first aftermarket converter manufacturer to receive a CARB aftermarket exemption for a ULEV application and the first to market with the new converter. According to Henry Hippert, Executive Sales Director, “Eastern has made a substantial investment in engineering and R&D to develop the new series and is currently nearing completion on additional California vehicle application programs.”
The new Series 670000 ULEV manifold converters are designed for direct-fit on 2001-2005 Honda Civic models, and are covered by Eastern’s 50,000 mile warranty.
